Aaron Speiser


Aaron Speiser has been training and coaching actors for over 30 years. Working with the most acclaimed actors, directors, and producers in the industry, Mr. Speiser helps actors by bringing his vast experience and depth of knowledge of the craft of acting to his students in a simple, straightforward, practical and inspirational way.  These qualities combine to create one of the top acting classes in Los Angeles.

Aaron Speiser coaches Will Smith and Virginia Madsen, both of whom have been nominated for Academy Awards with Mr. Speiser’s help. He has also coached Jennifer Lopez from the beginning of her career. Gerard Butler, LL Cool J, Mandy Moore, The Rock (Dwayne Johnson), Brooke Shields, Jeff Foxworthy, Shannyn Sossamon, Bree Turner, Ashley Johnson, Shawn, Marlon, Damon Wayans Jr., and Kim Wayans are some of the accomplished actors who round out the list.

Working with such renowned directors as Oliver Stone, Michael Mann, F. Gary Gray, Adam Shankman, Wayne Wang, and Peter Berg. to name a few, has enabled Mr. Speiser to bring the latest Film and Television techniques to his studio and clients.

Mr. Speiser started his professional career in New York and then went to earn a Masters Degree of Fine Arts in Acting from Brandeis University in Boston. After graduation he studied with Uta Hagen, Bill Hickey, and his mentor Kenneth McMillan at HB Studio in New York. Mr. Speiser worked as a professional actor and director in numerous stages and TV productions for 15 years before moving on to teaching. This feature film,Talking About Sex, which he directed, produced, and co-wrote won Best Film Award at the Breckenridge Film Festival.

Mr. Speiser strives to create a vibrant and exciting community of artists, and the best acting class in Los Angeles.

Born to two working actors and the granddaughter of legendary writer/director Preston Sturges, you can say that acting has always been is Shannon’s blood but her career took off after she was discovered by Aaron in a college acting class and quickly became his protege.

Shannon’s extensive TV and film credits include starring roles in feature films S.W.A.T. The Shift, and Mr. Write, television movies; Wives He Forgot, with Molly Ringwald, Tornado, with Bruce Campbell, and Silent Predators, with Harry Hamlin. Other television credits include guest starring roles on Nip/Tuck, Cold Case, Charmed, Brimstone, and recurring characters on Boomtown and Extreme, and the daytime dramas Passions, Port Charles and Days of our Lives, and the recent sketch comedy pilot Running da Streetz wit Doug Williams. When Shannon starred in the hit Aaron Spelling series Savannah she was selected as one of “People Magazines’ 50 Most Beautiful People in the World.”

Married and the mother to two young sons, she is thrilled to bring her training and experience to the top acting class in LA to help both beginning and experienced actors. As a teacher who has been a working actor for more than two decades Shannon is uniquely qualified to help you become a working actor yourself.

Ada Luz Pla


Is a theatre graduate of SUNY Binghamton, the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in N.Y. and the Aaron Speiser Acting Studio in Los Angeles. She has performed in theaters throughout the N.Y. Tri-State area, Los Angeles, and Europe. Ada has guest starred on FX’s “The Shield” with Michael Chiklis. She has appeared on HBO, B.E.T. and Telemundo.  Ada has costarred in Indie Films such as “Shrink” with Kevin Spacey, Robin Williams and Keke Palmer, “Wheels,” “I am Gangster” and “Restored Me” to name a few.

Ada is also the Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival “Rainbow” award recipient where she was recognized for her work in theater with at risk youths in the Arts. Some of her work with the youth has been as a Theater/dance teacher at Stitt Junior High School in N.Y. She also worked for P.A.L., (Police Athletic League) N.Y. as a dance and theater specialist. In Los Angeles, Ada Worked for G.L.A.S.S. (a group home facility for teens) and served as child care worker, mentor and in house theater arts teacher. She also worked with the Unusual Suspects Theatre Company, a non-profit organization of professional artists who teach theater arts to teens in the juvenile justice system. Ada worked with groups of at-risk teens involved in gang intervention programs from low-income communities helping them to create and perform original plays. 

More recently, Ada created and produced the first ever Art Gallery and Gala through the nationally known PTSA Reflections Art program for nine LAUSD schools showcasing, awarding and celebrating youths from k-12 grade.
