Studio Policies

Students should sign in for their class each week prior to coming to the studio. Register on our website: Sign Up or use the MindBody app to sign in on your phone.

Studio members in good standing can audit Scene Study classes for free. Sign in prior to class on the website: Drop In Audits or use the MindBody app.

Students should arrive a minimum of 15 minutes before class. If you are going to be late please text the studio at 310.399.4567 and include your name, your partner’s name and your ETA. Please text at least 20 minutes before class. Students should not arrive after class has started unless they’ve made prior arrangements.

If you plan to take a studio break please let your teacher, key student, scene partner and the studio manager (info@spesierstugres.com) know ahead of time so that they can plan ahead. Students should always be ready with a monologue – in case your partner cancels at the last minute (or other emergencies).

Technique tuition is due in full before the first class. Scene Study tuition is due on the first of the month if you’re paying month-to-month, unless you’re on autopay. You can pay on our website.. Late fees of $15 will be added to your account if you don’t pay tuition by the first of the month. There are no late fees for autopay.

We do offer multi-month packages as well as Technique and scene study combined.

We do not issue refunds or prorate class payments. There is no credit for missed classes. If you stop paying tuition for a period of a month or longer, you must rejoin for a minimum of three months when you return. We do not allow breaks during your commitment (unless we grant an exemption for an emergency.)

Students can only start mid-month if they are on AutoPay or purchase a multi-month package. AutoPay students are responsible for emailing the studio if they are taking a break and need AutoPay suspended. If a student forgets to notify the studio and requests a refund after an AutoPayment has been processed, there will be a 5% charge to recoup our administrative and processing fees. We can also give you credit for the full amount of purchase and apply it to the following month of class if you prefer.

Type in the gate code in the panel next to the door to buzz yourself into the studio.

No violence or bringing any weapons to class - we have prop guns and knives. No alcohol or substances as part of the scene either.

If you’re performing a scene where you disrobe please double up on your undergarments.

No cellphone use during class, including texting-step outside to use your phone.

No recording during class.

No eating or chewing gum in the studio except as part of a scene. Drinks are allowed but please dump liquids down the sink before tossing your cup in the trash.
